The Julia Winery

The winery is named after Julia, the wife of George Araf, who is an agronomist by profession, and cultivates a small vineyard of 7 dunams of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, west of Iliya and invests in it his soul and love.

In the small winery there is a barrel room and bar, around which guests are seated for wine tasting and light refreshments.

George hosts wholeheartedly and is very hospitable, is happy to give his guest a tour of the barrel room and to explain about the wine production process, starting from cultivation of the grapes in his private vineyard and until storage of the wine in a barrel in the barrel room.

The winery bottles some 4,000 bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot, Shiraz and Viognier (a white wine) of which he exports 2000 bottles to the United States.
