This wonder is the result of a unique cooperation between the city of Acre and a group of young people from Acre and the vicinity, who operate the place voluntarily out of their great love for the city and for culture.
The place has already hosted Assaf Amdurski and Efrat Gosh, Jeremy Kaplan, Yair Dalal, Ronna Keinan, Amir Daddon and many others. Moreover, it provides a stage for young beginning artists giving them an opportunity to be exposed to a new audience in a warm cozy atmosphere.
Why is it called ‘The Jam’? Well, on the first Saturday of each month the place hosts a Jam Session. This is a tradition that begun four years ago, involving the arrival of musicians from all over the North of Israel in order to play together, improvise and let the sound create confluence.
And why is it known as ‘a home for joint creation’? Well, the community that formed around it produces a variety of events each month: homage performances, movie screenings, lectures, workshops and more. The audience is welcome to take part in the production: initiate, create and make dreams come true.
The place opened up a year and a half ago, and its reputation has travelled throughout the Galilee and even further. It is open on Thursdays and Saturdays, entrance fee is especially low, and drinks at the bar are sold at friendly prices as well.
Come. There is no reason to stay home tonight when for a fair price you can watch a known artist perform, and when he is done the evening just begins…
